De Amsterdam Cocktail Week is terug! Van 4 tot en met 10 september kan iedereen nieuwe smaken en cocktailtrends ontdekken bij verschillende cocktailbars in Amsterdam. De hele week serveren de deelnemende bars twee signature drinks. Een met én een zonder alcohol. De Amsterdam Cocktail Week is een initiatief van de Nederlandse cocktailexperts Tess Posthumus, Timo Janse en Albert van Beeck Calkoen. Na edities in Londen, Parijs en Singapore vond dit trio het hoog tijd worden voor een Cocktail Week in Amsterdam. En met succes want na de eerste editie in 2017 werd het een jaarlijks event. Tijdens deze editie van Amsterdam Cocktail Week hangt de lokale cocktailliefhebber niet alleen bij de beste Nederlandse bartenders aan de bar. Gerenommeerde internationale bars nemen een week lang de Amsterdamse cocktailscene over. Op 4 september komt het team van ‘t up and coming Nipperkin Bar van 20 Berkeley uit London naar de Wallen voor een shift in Rosalia’s Menagerie. Op 5 september neemt Adrián Michalcík voor een avond Flying Dutchmen Cocktails over. Adrián is de winnaar van de internationale bartendercompetie World Class 2022 dus erg gaaf om die zijn kunsten te zien doen. The Stillery – “The Originl Craft Spirit” The Stillery is a young dynamic craft distillery located in Amsterdam’s harbour area. It is there where organic craft spirits are created as they were once made by pioneers of the past. The Stillery is the first distillery in a long time within the Netherlands to reignite the old ways of craft-distilling. Where other distilleries use bought alcohol from big alcohol plants, The Stillery makes its own alcohol from actual malted grain. This start to finish approach is within the spirits business often referred to as “from grain to glass” and is implemented for all spirits within The Stillery’s Portfolio. Mezcal Nucano is an artisanal mezcal produced in the region of San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca. Their batches are always limited to ensure artisanal production, and they are made by a 5th generation mezcalero who helps to bring old-world mezcal production into modern times. They make an Anejo, Reposado, and several Joven mezcals that feature different silvestre agave. They are entirely Oaxacan owned and operated.
