During Amsterdam Cocktail Week 2019 Door 74 will be hosting several international guest bartenders. First one up is Santi Ortiz, from ’33’ in Barcelona, Spain. Santi Ortiz , a 30-year-old resident of Barcelona with a 9-year career behind a bar has his own conceptual bar called ’33 by Santi Ortiz’, after having passed through fashion and prestigious cocktail bars where he was given free rein to his talent. And thanks to all this, he has managed to win several national prizes and to be in the best positions in the world and in Europe. The 33 is a very small author’s gallery in Barcelona that fits 15 people, a very cosy and different space where you can enjoy the tranquility and quality and where different experiences are being created. We also try to live something unique and special, so our slogan of 33 could be said to be the following “little things make big worlds” Make sure to make a same day reservation on +31 6 34 04 51 22 CLIK HERE TO SEE THIS EVENT

To finish off Amsterdam Cocktail Week in a bit of a special way, for one night only, we’re organising a ‘One Night Stand Only’ party. People that have visited us, know we have a seat-only principle. This Sunday, for St. Patrick’s day, we will not be following our seat-only principle and allow everyone to stand and dance. And what better way to do that, than with our partnering brand of the week, Roe&Co Irish Whiskey! Expect Irish tunes, Irish inspired drinksmenu, lots of green and lots of banter! It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce a very special guest shift during Amsterdam Cocktail Week 2019: Opium Cocktail & Dim Sum Parlour from London! Come and taste their wonderful concoctions for one night only. About this special bar: Before you can contemplate trying the incredible cocktails and delicious food, you’ve got to locate Opium. A secret bar if ever there was one; find the nondescript jade green door and head up the long dark stairway to the cool and chic setting above. Opium Cocktail Bar & Dim Sum Parlour is a chic, hidden venue in the heart of Chinatown. Run by Jeremy Pascal & Jake Gatrill, Opium certainly has some pedigree behind it. The decor is oriental themed but again keeps an element of freshness with a twist that makes it modern and current; metal finishes on miss-matched Chinese furniture gives Opium, a contemporary London feel that is very welcome. Expect 3 bars of amazing Asian cocktails and a selection of dim sum – just a little teaser to get your appetite going. The drinks list and ingredients for food dishes will change seasonally to reflect their freshness, a great selling point. Perfect for a fine dinner and drinks evening, Opium would certainly impress a date or be a good place to have a meal with friends. Flash paper cocktails set the evening off with a bang, alongside some stunning dim sum nibbles; expect a cool and trendy crowd, who are distinctly in the know, how else would they have found this Chinatown gem? In a celebration of both epic – and miniature – proportions, Hendrick’s Gin and Pulitzer’s Bar dedicate this year’s Amsterdam Cocktail Week (11th – 17th of March 2019) to the most sophisticated of drinks. Yes, indeed. It’s the martini. In a world where the beloved martini has been called everything from ‘the only American invention as perfect as a sonnet’ to ‘America’s most deadly weapon’, this curious concoction has been a symbol of both refined sophistication and excessive excess. Hendrick’s Gin & Pulitzer’s Bar are heroing this king of cocktails by presenting it in its very own, tini, way, to both the true martini connoisseurs as well as the lovers-to-be. Presenting… THE TINI MARTINI A symbol of pure sophistication shrinks to epic proportions to deliver a snippet of martini hour whenever needed. Joining this tini movement are Giorgio Bargiani and Alessandro Palazzi. On the 12th of March, Bargiani of The Connaught Bar (#5 The World’s 50 Best Bars 2018) honours the all-time classic with small signature sips. On the 13th of March, martini maestro and world renowned bartender Palazzi follows that great example with his massively miniature martinis. All week, Andrei Talapanescu and the team of Pulitzer’s Bar support the movement serving Tini Martinis that can be sipped over a series of microscopic games and tini entertainment. Honey, we shrunk the ‘tini. Pulitzer’s Bar Keizersgracht 234, 1016 DZ Amsterdam CLIK HERE TO SEE THIS EVENT
